Chevrolet previews Camaro, Malibu Red Line Series concepts for 2015 SEMA

The bow-tie brand is prepping for the upcoming 2015 SEMA Show and will arrive in force with new concept models. Called the Red Line Series concept, each vehicle will have an Enhanced Silver Metallic finish and carry an array of unique exterior add-ons that spruces up the cars.

First up is the 2016 Camaro which gets a Charcoal Black roof, satin graphite side mirrors and red-black accents that can be seen on the hood, fenders, front bumper and 20-inch alloy wheels. Other revisions applied to the Camaro are high-performance brakes, reduced ride height and tinted taillights.

Camaro Red Line Series concept: All of the production and concept accessories were developed in Chevrolet’s design studio with the vehicles themselves. All of the Red Line Series concepts share Enhanced Silver Metallic exteriors, with a custom Charcoal roof panel and Satin Graphite and red accents.

Interior pictures were not provided by the company did say it largely carries over from the standard cars. However, it will feature special sill plates, premium floor mats and a cargo mat in the trunk.

The engine remains to be a mystery but the all-new Camarao is available with three engines; 2.0-liter inline-four turbo with 279 PS and 400 Nm, 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 340 PS and 385 Nm and the 6.2-liter V8 that pumps out 461 PS and 617 Nm of torque.

Up next is the 2016 Malibu which also gets a myriad of exterior and interior upgrades. Described by Chevrolet to show the potential customization options for the midsize sedan, it also gets the Charcoal Black roof and satin graphite mirrors.

This has less red accent streaks as they are only seen on the front bumper and 19-inch alloy wheels. The Malibu also gets a suspension lowering kit, black bow-tie badging and tinted headlights / taillights.

The cabin largely remains the same as well apart from the application of a sport pedal kit and special floor mats.

The exact powertrain was not specified but the production version has two turbocharged engines available, 1.5-liter with 160 PS, 250 Nm of torque and a 2.0-liter unit that cranks out 250 PS, 350 Nm of torque.

Both cars will premiere on November 3 at the 2015 SEMA Show.
